The AGI is a bold new initiative from the Africa Politicojuridical Institute, aimed at measuring how deeply governance has taken root in African societies. It moves beyond superficial metrics to evaluate whether power is being exercised through institutions or personalities, and whether governance reflects citizen-oriented reform or elite capture.
